Louise is an experienced freelance Architect, with considerable experience covering many aspects of sustainable building in a variety of sectors – including residential development and education buildings. Projects focus on user-centred design processes to help teams or individuals achieve sustainable outcomes. She brings expertise in building ‘healthy’ places, the use of natural and sympathetic materials, and context-sensitive responses to every project.
Due to a background in built environment research, design work is enhanced by insight into a broad spectrum of relevant specialisms. These include ecological pedagogy, innovative building systems, low embodied and operational carbon foot-printing and climate adaptive design (anticipating necessary physical and societal responses to future climate). She is academically published and has project managed research commissions from major funding agencies such as the Technology Strategy Board.
