Charles is an Architect in private practice with experience in the sectors of healthcare, industrial and housing with experience of working for individuals, developers and housing associations.
He works both on ‘own account’ projects and on larger more complex collaborative projects providing predominantly technical services around detailed construction design. Prior to this he has worked for small and medium sized practices in Bristol and spent several years setting up an office in Eastern Europe on behalf of a Scottish practice.   In the past he has also had experience of field work in international development aid and disaster relief in the Middle East.
Experienced in refurbishment he has a wide range of practical building skills and once participated in attempting to set up a self-build housing association in central Bristol.
Equipped and trained with building information modelling (BIM) software and as a member of the Green Register he is committed to achieving the highest possible standards of energy efficiency, use of appropriate materials and control of waste consistent with the constraints of each project.
